Privacy Policy
Short version: we want your email, not your soul. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and who sees it.
Who we are
HollaBoo (hollaboo.com) is a graphic tee brand operated by The Roboti Group, with day-to-day site management by Nexum Automations. We sell catalog t-shirts and custom tees that you design yourself with our Slogan Studio, Meeting Receipt, and emoji tools. Every product is printed on demand.
For anything privacy related, from questions to deletion requests, there is exactly one address: hello@hollaboo.com. A real person reads it.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to run a store: your email if you join the HollaBoo Club, your order details if you buy something, and the designs you create if you make a custom tee. We use privacy-friendly analytics, we do not run invasive tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data. Ever. That would be a terrible look for a brand built on being likable.
Information we collect
Here is the complete list, grouped by how you interact with us.
- HollaBoo Club members: your email address and account details, stored securely with Supabase, our authentication and database provider. Joining also creates your Boo Bucks rewards balance.
- Shoppers: when you check out, your name, email, shipping address, and payment details are collected and processed by Shopify, which powers our checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Custom tee creators: the text, emoji picks, and design choices you make in Slogan Studio, Meeting Receipt, or our emoji builders. We need these to print your shirt, and we keep them attached to your order.
- Everyone: standard, aggregated usage data through Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you individually across the web.
- People who email us: whatever you include in your message to hello@hollaboo.com, which we keep so we can actually help you.
How we use your information
We use your data to do the obvious things and nothing weird.
- To process and fulfill your orders, including sending your design and shipping address to our print partners.
- To send transactional emails: order confirmations, shipping notifications with tracking, and replies to your support requests. These are sent via Resend from hello@hollaboo.com.
- To run your HollaBoo Club account and keep your Boo Bucks balance accurate.
- To send occasional HollaBoo news and drops, only if you opted in, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works on the first click.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and products people like, so we make more of the good stuff.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
Your custom designs
When you create a custom tee, the design you build is stored with your order so we can print it, reprint it if something goes wrong, and handle any support issue about it. Custom text passes through an automated content filter (see our Terms & Conditions for the house rules on what you can put on a shirt).
We do not publish, resell, or reuse your personal custom designs for marketing without asking you first. Your inside joke stays your inside joke.
Payments
All payments are handled by Shopify, including Shop Pay and major credit and debit cards. Card data is entered directly into Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout. HollaBoo never receives, sees, or stores your full payment card details. We receive only what we need to fulfill the order: what you bought, where it is going, and confirmation that payment cleared.
Third-party services
We work with a small set of processors, each with a specific job. They receive only the data required to do that job, and they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
- Shopify: checkout, payments, and order records.
- Printify: production and shipping. Our print providers receive your name, shipping address, and the artwork to print. They are primarily located in the United States.
- Supabase: HollaBoo Club account storage and authentication.
- Resend: sends our transactional and account emails from hello@hollaboo.com.
- Vercel: hosts hollaboo.com and provides our cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics.
Cookies and analytics
The HollaBoo storefront uses Vercel Analytics, which measures traffic without cookies and without building a profile of you. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on our pages.
The Shopify checkout uses its own essential cookies to keep your cart and session working, which is what makes buying things physically possible. Those are functional, not advertising.
HollaBoo Club and Boo Bucks
The HollaBoo Club is our free membership program. Joining requires an email address and creates a Boo Bucks balance for you. Boo Bucks are a rewards currency with no monetary value: they cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash. We store your balance and redemption history as part of your account data.
If you delete your account, your Boo Bucks balance is deleted with it, which is the one situation where losing all your money is not a big deal.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers. We share data only with the processors listed above, only to run the store, or when the law genuinely requires it.
Data retention
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. HollaBoo Club account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Custom designs are kept with their orders so we can honor reprints and support claims. Support emails are kept for as long as they are useful for helping you.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA or California), some of these rights are guaranteed by law, but we honor them for everyone because it is the right thing to do.
Email hello@hollaboo.com with your request and we will respond within 30 days. Note that we may need to keep minimal order records for legal and tax reasons even after an account deletion.
Children
Hollaboo.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@hollaboo.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, such as a new category of data collection, we will notify HollaBoo Club members by email. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
